Some businesses seeing tariff impacts now, consumers may feel it later
Some Saskatchewan businesses are already paying more for inventory because of the Canada-U.S. trade dispute
At Windsor Plywood in Prince Albert, owner Ray Kokotailo said the biggest impact so far has been on steel and aluminum products, with the cost of some steel products rising by about 30 per cent.
“We have definitely seen the increase hit us,” Kokotailo said.
He said products including steel roofing, soffit and fascia have been affected.
