Meadow Lake Kin clubs chip in more than $10K to TeleMiracle 45
The numbers are almost completely in, and the Meadow Lake Kin clubs are estimating that the Meadow Lake community has contributed over $11,000 to this year’s TeleMiracle fundraisers.
Over the past week, the Kinette Club hosted their live auction on Facebook while the Kinsmen club held their Burger Battle with the assistance of local businesses. The live auction brought in around $10,000 and the Burger Battle chipped in a little over $1,000. These totals are added to the provincial sum of $5.6 million.
Chet Rogers, Meadow Lake Kinsmen President, said he is glad the city could contribute to the cause, but added he is always looking for ways to maximize donations.
“With TeleMiracle or any charity function we always want more, but any amount we raise is going to help. It’s never anything to scoff at—we always want to try and go higher—but anything we raise does help and make a difference in someone’s life,” Rogers said.
