Targeted shooting leaves one dead in Lloydminster, suspect at large

One person is dead following what RCMP are describing as a targeted shooting in Lloydminster, and the suspect remains at large.

Officers were called at about 11:09 a.m. on Sept. 21 to reports of shots fired near 50th Avenue and 47th Street.

Fire and EMS personnel also responded and began life-saving measures on the victim, who was later declared dead at the scene.

“RCMP have confirmed that the suspect is still at large, but police believe it was a targeted incident. Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) were called in and have taken carriage of the investigation.”
