The Latest: US envoy wants UN monitors in Aleppo quickly

The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations says member nations must ensure the urgent deployment of United Nations monitors to former rebel-held areas in eastern Aleppo, citing reports of people dying of exposure overnight waiting for evacuation.
Ambassador Samantha Power told reporters after the U.N. Security Council unanimously approved a resolution Monday urging quick deployment of monitors that there are also reports of people being evacuated on buses having their valuables stolen and men of fighting age being detained.
