Province reports 300 new cases, 253 recoveries, one COVID-19 related death
The Saskatchewan government announced 300 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan on April 12, as well as 253 recoveries. This brings the provincial total to 36,604 cases; 33,600 recoveries and 2,549 cases considered active. Four cases were found to be out-of-province residents and removed from Saskatoon (one), South East (one) and pending (two) counts. Three cases not previously reported were added to Saskatoon zone.
There was one new death reported in the 60 to 69 range in the Regina zone.
The new cases in northern Saskatchewan are located in the Far North West (four), Far North East (three), North West (17), North Central (nine), and North East (one) zones. Twelve new cases have pending residence information. Three cases with pending residence information have been assigned to the Central West (one) and Regina (two) zones.
