100,000 Saskatchewan residents now fully vaccinated against COVID-19

The Saskatchewan government reported today that over 100,000 Saskatchewan residents have been fully vaccinated and an additional 14,579 vaccines have been administered. This brings the total numbers vaccines delivered to 754,830.

The 14,579 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following zones: Far North West, 156; Far North Central, 14; Far North East, 228; North West, 686; North Central, 1,067; North East, 490; Saskatoon, 4,909; Central West, 519; Central East, 1,003; Regina, 3,175; South West, 558; South Central, 497; and South East, 1,024. There were 253 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

Seventy-seven per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose. Seventy-two per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose. Sixty-six per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while 63 per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.

Daily COVID-19 Statistics

There are 131 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 3, bringing the provincial total to 47,097 cases; 45,240 total recoveries and 1,314 cases considered active.

The new cases in Northern Saskatchewan are located in the following zones: Far North West, five; Far North East, 11; North West, 14; North Central, seven; and North East, seven. Four new cases are pending residence information.

Two new deaths are reported today in the 80+ age group, both from the North West zone. Two cases with pending residence information have been assigned to the North Central, one; and South West, one; zones. Two cases tested out of province have been added to the Saskatoon, one; and South East, one; zones. One case in Saskatoon was reassigned to the North Central zone, one case from Central West was reassigned to Saskatoon, and 20 cases from South East were reassigned to South Central, including 19 resolved and one death.

NITHA Data

As of June 2, there are 50 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), one; Far North West, 12; Far North East, 29; North Central, one; and North East, seven. There are 22 active cases of COVID-19 Variants of Concern (VOCs) in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North West, two; Far North East, 18; and North East, two. There has been 3,543 cases (98%) that have recovered, and two people are hospitalized.
