Province reports 829 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 14 deaths in weekly report
The provincial government is reporting another 829 new cases of COVID last week as part of their epidemiology (epi) report released today. This is a slight drop compared to last week’s report of 889 confirmed cases.
Also included were reports of 14 new COVID-19 related deaths of Saskatchewan residents, a drop from last weeks report of 20 deaths.
The number of tests performed was also lower than the number of tests in the previous week with 6,951 performed compared to 7,354.
During the two months period from February 13 to April 16, 2022, the risk of hospitalization, ICU admission and death was five, nine and seven times higher respectively among unvaccinated individuals compared to those vaccinated with three doses.
