Seven victims from stabbing attack released from hospital

Seven victims from Sunday’s stabbing incident have been released from hospital while another 10 remain.

Three of those remaining patients are in critical condition and seven are in stable condition, according to a release from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

For security reasons, the SHA did not disclose which hospitals are providing care to victims of the attack.

The authority is working on deploying mental health resources to families, communities, physicians and staff that have been affected by this mass casualty event.

Staff with the SHA are also reaching out to Prince Albert Grand Council, James Smith Cree Nation and other communities in the area to offer support.

“We want to thank our frontline operational and clinical leaders, emergency and first responders, RCMP, police, and all others who continue to mobilize and respond to this very difficult situation,” the release said.
